INVITE: Disability Confident at Work Event
01 March 2019
MP’s Karen Buck and Mark Field would like to invite you to join them and learn more about recruiting and retaining a wealth of untapped talent your business could be missing out on.
Disabled people in this country make up a dedicated, loyal and skilled workforce who could help your business in a time of increased competition for good employees, and avoid you getting caught out by skills shortages.
This event, supported by the Minister for Disabled People, Health and Work Sarah Newton MP is designed to showcase the business benefits employers like yourself could be missing out on by not employing disabled job seekers.
Date: 14th of March 2019
Venue: Village Club, Barrow Hill estate, Allitsen Road, London NW8 7BD.
At the event you will be encouraged to sign up to the Disability Confident scheme along with the 1,000’s of UK businesses that have already done so.
You will have the unique opportunity to network with other local employers who will explain the steps they have taken and the benefits their businesses have gained as a result of employing experienced and highly qualified disabled people.
Also you will hear testimonials from inspirational and motivating speakers and be able to talk to qualified staff from the Department of Work and Pensions. They can offer you advice on Government funding grants and the support that is available through Access to Work to assist with recruitment. We will give you the help and support to enable you to meet your recruitment needs from a much wider pool of talent.
If you would like to find out just how disabled people can make a major contribution to the success of your business then join us at our Disability Confident event. Don’t miss out on this valuable pool of potential skills and the financial, operational and social benefits that being a Disability Confident employer can bring.
Please confirm your attendance by emailing DC.SME@DWP.GSI.GOV.UK by 11th of March. If you have any special requirements for the day, please let us know with your reply.
