Festival vibe comes to Paddington this summer

The summer’s hottest music festivals are just around the corner but with tickets sold out months ago, many music fans will be despairing at the thought of having to watch the world famous acts on the small screen at home. Fear not festival lovers! Paddington Covers is open for all.

As the gateway connecting festival-goers to the UK’s top events, Glastonbury, Reading and Somersault, Paddington will be hosting a programme of mini summer festivals for those who couldn’t make the main events.

Hosted by PaddingtonNow, the Business Improvement District for the area around Paddington Station, and supported by NatWest, the events will see live performances by bands covering the top hits from the festivals’ headliners – from ‘Fu Fighterz’ to ‘Metallicar’.

Held in the hidden gem of Paddington’s Norfolk Square Gardens, just behind Paddington Station, the events will be open for workers, residents and visitors alike all afternoon on the last Friday of June, July and August (26 June, 31 July, 28 August) to coincide with the festivals.

As well as the bands bringing a taste of the big summer festival vibe, there will be delicious food stalls, a ping pong table and deck chairs for Paddington’s very own festival-goers to relax in.
